About Ljubičice

Ljubičice are old enough to have a history and restless enough not to live in it. Formed in Pančevo around brothers Vuk and Petar Stevanović, the Serbian band has spent its history changing lineups, sounds and ways of performing without losing its focus on songs and musicianship.

Today, Ljubičice are a fully live four-piece with longtime keyboardist and vocalist Olga Petrović and drummer Ivan Solomun. After a decade of concerts built around programmed elements, the new lineup leaves more room for interaction, spontaneity and the particular chemistry of four musicians playing together. Melodic songs and a strong sense of groove give Ljubičice their structure; musicianship gives them room to move.

The change goes deeper than the stage setup. Petrović is emerging as one of the central songwriting voices on the band’s third album, now in the making, widening a creative core long built around Vuk and Petar.

Their second album, Dok čekamo pad (2023), was named RUNDA’s Best Album of 2023, while its title track won the regional Milan Mladenović Award for Best Song. Rather than turning those achievements into a destination, Ljubičice are looking forward - becoming new again without starting from scratch.
