No Panels Conference to Kick Off in Pančevo with Music Education and Networking

The first edition of the No Panels Conference will open in Pančevo with a series of events aimed at strengthening and educating the local music scene. The conference’s opening event, a concert by popular artist Konstrakta and her band Zemlja Gruva, will take place tonight at the Cultural Center in Pančevo, but the core focus of the conference is its educational component.

Tomorrow, the Music Micro-Masterclass Day will be held at Sinhro Hub in Pančevo, offering a day of valuable learning and networking opportunities for musicians, composers, music professionals, students, and all those involved in the music industry. This educational segment is designed to help the local music scene grow and become more connected by providing a platform for learning, sharing, and collaboration.

"To create a strong and well-connected music community in Pančevo, we need to give it the time and space to grow. This is exactly what the No Panels Conference does – offering music professionals, musicians, students, and future music creators the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas. The Music Micro-Masterclass Day will cover topics like enhancing sound, improving the quality of original music, understanding the complexities of copyright, and exploring what local music labels can offer," shared the conference organizers, including Kontra Rights, the Sinhro association, and Krokodil music studio and publishing house.

The educational program kicks off at 11:15 AM with a session titled "How to Make Your Band Sound Better," led by renowned music producer Milan Bjelica. Known for his work on albums by Buč Kesidi, Repetitor, and Iva Lorens, as well as hit songs by Zorja, Bjelica will offer insights into improving the overall sound of a band.

At 1:00 PM, Nikola Jovanović, Vice President of Virgin Music Group for the Western Balkans, will provide a deep dive into the importance of copyright in music and how it can be effectively protected. Jovanović, a key figure in the regional music industry, works with a range of high-profile artists, including Konstrakta, Joker Out, and Magnifico.

In the afternoon, attendees will have the chance to get to know the local music label Krokodil Records. Vuk Stevanović, founder of the label and a member of the band Ljubičice, will share the label's work, which spans publishing, distribution, booking, and phonogram production.

The No Panels Conference will continue with additional events and sessions, offering a valuable opportunity for the Pančevo music community to come together, learn, and grow. The conference will run from May 30 to June 1, 2025, and promises to be a key event in the regional music industry calendar.
