About Đorđe Kujundžić

Đorđe Kujundžić is a Serbian clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer known for his expressive tone and the seamless blend of classical tradition, jazz phrasing, and modern improvisation. A graduate of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, where he studied under renowned Italian clarinetist Paolo Beltramini, he has collaborated with prominent ensembles including the RTS Big Band and Symphony Orchestra, Nikolov–Ivanović Undectet, Naked, and Fish in Oil. Kujundžić is also active as a composer in projects such as The Sharp Shock (Switzerland), Wild Detectives (Serbia), and Trio Sonora (Serbia).

Winner of numerous international awards — most notably Third Prize at the Czech Clarinet Art Competition — he has appeared at festivals such as ACC World Music Festival (South Korea), EXPO 2020 (Dubai), Horizonte (Germany), Jazz sous les Pommiers (France), and WOMEX (Portugal).

His latest release, Ante Grgin: Sonatas, showcases his dual mastery of clarinet and saxophone through refined interpretations of the legendary composer’s works. His previous solo album, The Sound of Night (Bluzika records), explores the meeting point between classical form and jazz emotion.
